Marking one year since his inauguration, President Karol Nawrocki held his first meeting with citizens outside Warsaw in Skawina, signaling that his second year in office will follow the same approach of traveling across Poland to meet the public.<\/p>\n
He emphasized that the president serves the people and must meet with them, rejecting the ceremonial “guardian of the chandelier” view of the presidency regardless of media inquiries regarding event funding.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on the legislation he has signed and vetoed, Nawrocki stated that his policy remains bound to fulfilling all 21 points of the presidential Plan 21.<\/p>\n
He described the plan as a vision for a secure, developing, and fair Poland of the 21st century that remains sovereign, preserves its constitution, and refuses to adjust to international law beyond its accession treaties.<\/p>\n
Nawrocki noted that he signed 259 bills during his presidency, supporting good solutions for citizens regardless of their political origin, while exercising hard vetoes when necessary.<\/p>\n
He explained that he vetoed a tax hike in line with campaign promises, arguing he will not impose further burdens on citizens simply because the finance minister struggles with public finances.<\/p>\n
Looking ahead to the 2027 elections, Nawrocki expressed hope for a parliamentary majority willing to cooperate on development, security, and citizen welfare through 2030.<\/p>\n
