According to German counterintelligence, Russia was likely behind the incendiary air shipment, which caused a fire in a courier warehouse rather than onboard only due to flight delays and a fortunate coincidence.<\/p>\n
Before the package reached the container, staff scanned, opened, and photographed it. At the time, “Wyborcza” described the contents as a black massage pillow, cosmetic tubes, and two erotic devices.<\/p>\n
According to recent findings by German services, a drone found at Leipzig Airport on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday was intended to deliberately strike the wing of a parked Ukrainian Antonov. Bild journalists reported that authorities suspect, alongside the armed drone, a second tactical drone functioned as a “mothership” maintaining contact with the unmanned aircraft. “Investigators are certain that both drones were coordinated and controlled by an experienced team from around Leipzig Airport,” wrote “Bild,” suggesting the event may not be a simple incident, but an “extremely complicated military operation.”<\/p>\n
Leipzig Airport is a vital hub for Western military aid to Ukraine against Russian aggression. In 2022, following Russia’s full-scale invasion, the Antonov company relocated its fleet there.<\/p>\n
