Recruitment is underway for the program “Vacations with the Military 3”. Participants will spend 27 days in military units, undergo intensive basic training, and receive nearly 6,000 PLN gross. The final session will begin on August 17, 2026.<\/p>\n
The program is aimed at individuals aged 18 to 35. Interested parties can choose the unit and date, but in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, primarily the final session remains, scheduled from August 17 to September 12.<\/p>\n
“Vacations with the Military 3” are primarily directed at individuals aged 18 to 35. Candidates can include high school graduates, students, people looking for summer work, and those who want to check if military service could be their future career path.<\/p>\n
The basic requirement is turning 18. Candidates should hold Polish citizenship, have appropriate physical and psychological fitness for military service, and meet the formal requirements regarding a clean criminal record. Final qualification takes place through the procedure conducted by the Military Recruitment Center.<\/p>\n
The program is available for both women and men. Prior military experience is not required. Individuals who have not previously undergone training complete a full basic cycle concluding with taking the military oath.<\/p>\n
According to the Strefa Obrony portal, interest in the training is high. Applicants are applying to units in Kolobrzeg, Walcz, Szczecin, and Koszalin, among others. For many participants, this is a way to acquire military skills, test themselves in demanding conditions, and learn the principles of how the army operates.<\/p>\n
The training lasts 27 days and is voluntary. Participation in the program does not require prior military experience. Organizers provide accommodation, meals, uniforms, medical care, and insurance.<\/p>\n
The training includes learning the basics of tactics, field operation exercises, marksmanship training, elements of hand-to-hand combat, survival basics, and classes related to operating military equipment. During the training, participants also learn the principles of first aid and functioning in a group.<\/p>\n
Participants are accommodated on the base and follow a military daily schedule. Classes take place both in training facilities and in the field. The program includes the basics of military tactics, drill, marksmanship training, terrain orientation, elements of hand-to-hand combat, and survival principles in difficult conditions.<\/p>\n
Volunteers also learn first aid, teamwork, and how to operate selected military equipment. Depending on the unit, they may have contact with the specifics of armored, logistical, missile, airborne, anti-aircraft, or naval forces.<\/p>\n
The training is not theoretical classes. Participants perform practical exercises, take part in marches and team tasks, and learn the basic principles of a soldier’s functioning in a unit. After completing the training and taking the oath, they can be transferred to the reserve or decide to continue service.<\/p>\n
For completing the training, the participant receives an allowance amounting to nearly 6,000 PLN gross. This is not remuneration for ordinary seasonal work, but an allowance associated with completing voluntary basic military service and realizing the training program.<\/p>\n
The payout amount makes the offer particularly attractive for high school graduates, students, and individuals who do not yet have stable employment. However, the military emphasizes that money is only one element of the program. Participants must submit to the military daily schedule, participate in classes, and execute the commands of the personnel.<\/p>\n
The participant receives during the training: own equipment should include a sleeping mat, changes of clothing, underwear, sports shoes, a towel, hygiene products, headwear, UV sunscreen, insect repellent, an identity document, and writing supplies. A headlamp may also be useful.<\/p>\n
The schedule published by the Ministry of National Defense covers all voivodeships. Specific locations have been indicated in individual regions.<\/p>\n
Not every listed unit organizes all three sessions. The schedule features markings next to individual places indicating whether a given location accepts volunteers in the first, second, or third term. Therefore, before submitting an application, one must check whether there are still available spots at the chosen unit for the session beginning on August 17.<\/p>\n
An application can be submitted through the recruitment portal of the Polish Armed Forces, by phone, email, or in person at the Military Recruitment Center. The nationwide hotline of the program operates under the number 800 180 110.<\/p>\n
During application, the candidate can indicate the preferred unit, date, and type of training. Next, they will be informed about the required documents, medical examinations, and further stages of qualification. The number of places for the final session is limited, so interested parties should not delay their application.<\/p>\n

For some volunteers, participation in the program can also be a way to acquire additional qualifications. Within further service, it is possible to obtain qualifications for driving selected vehicles, take specialized courses, and develop skills useful also outside the military.<\/p>\n
Completing “Vacations with the Military 3” does not mean automatic referral to professional military service. However, for some participants, it can become the first stage of further career in the army.<\/p>\n
After completing the training, it is possible to consider service in the active reserve, Territorial Defense Forces, or professional military service. The participant also gains experience related to work organization, teamwork, responsibility for entrusted tasks, and functioning under time pressure.<\/p>\n
