An indictment has been filed against four young men in Sieradz for the months-long abuse and subsequent death of a homeless 43-year-old man, with two facing aggravated murder charges. <\/p>\n
An indictment has been directed to the District Court in Sieradz against four young men suspected of months of abuse against a homeless 43-year-old. The victim died after a brutal beating, and two of the defendants face charges of murder with particular cruelty, carrying a sentence of up to 25 years in prison.<\/p>\n
According to findings by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Sieradz, the defendants abused the helpless 43-year-old man from May to October 8, 2024, in abandoned buildings within the Dobro\u0144 commune near Pabianice in the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Voivodeship. The perpetrators, aged 15 to 18 at the time, persistently and without reason maltreated the victim.<\/p>\n
The prosecutor’s office stated that the defendants’ behavior was marked by extreme cruelty and contempt for human dignity, aiming to depersonalize the victim. The victim was repeatedly beaten severely, deprived of liberty, and forced into sexual intercourse, with the attackers recording the beatings on mobile phones.<\/p>\n
The tragic finale occurred on October 8, 2024. According to the indictment, the teenagers applied “extreme controlled violence” by bestially beating the victim, who suffered severe head injuries and died in the hospital despite specialized medical assistance.<\/p>\n
Four men from the Dobro\u0144 commune who reached adulthood by the time the indictment was filed will answer before the court. Two defendants face charges of murder with particular cruelty, while all four are accused of abuse with particular cruelty and severe beatings, three of forcing the victim into sexual intercourse, one of providing marijuana, and another of possessing it.<\/p>\n
At the time of the acts, three of the defendants were 17 years old, while the fourth is being tried as an adult despite not having turned 17 when the crime was committed.<\/p>\n
Experts established that all defendants were sane, had no prior criminal records, and attempted to minimize their roles during questioning. Three of them remain in pre-trial detention, while non-custodial preventive measures were applied to one.<\/p>\n
