Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in his Tuesday evening address on August 11 that Russian leader Vladimir Putin resorted to another blatant political manipulation. Zelenskyy noted that Putin feared allowing even a single party that spoke somewhat about the need for peace to participate in the elections.<\/p>\n

Zelenskyy stated that the Russian contingent in Ukraine loses at least 30,000 soldiers every month, of whom 60 percent are killed. The total size of the occupying army on Ukrainian territory is gradually decreasing thanks to active operations, and above all, the use of drones.<\/p>\n
Putin now believes that additional mobilization and the involvement of North Korean troops will allow him to prolong the war and increase Russian assault activity, Zelenskyy added. Ukraine is preparing its own active operations to make it as difficult as possible for Russia to realize such plans, and the president has entrusted relevant tasks to intelligence agencies and special services without revealing details.<\/p>\n
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also addressed the issue of peace negotiations, noting that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio assured in recent days that the US intends to check whether it is possible to resume talks between Russia and Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Zelenskyy reported that he received a report from the negotiating team on Tuesday evening and that proposals have been handed over to the American side.
