The \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Technology and Life celebrates its 40th anniversary, marking four decades of facilitating applied research, industrial technology transfer, and economic development in Poland and abroad.<\/p>\n
Established in 1986 as the Interdepartmental Scientific Center for the Exploitation of Fixed Assets, the institute initially focused on machine reliability and technical infrastructure. Over time, its expertise expanded to include material engineering, surface engineering, mechatronics, industrial automation, and digital production processes aligned with Industry 4.0 and 5.0.<\/p>\n
Since 2019, the institute has operated within the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network, one of the largest R&D organizations in Europe. Today, it acts as a comprehensive competence center supporting companies from initial design and prototyping to full industrial implementation.<\/p>\n
Over the last 40 years, the institute has become a leader in technology transfer, specializing in tribology, mechatronics, and eco-innovation. Its facility in Radom remains one of Central Europe’s most advanced centers for tribological research and high-tech infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The 40th-anniversary ceremony in Radom brought together government officials, including Marshal Adam Struzik and Minister B\u0142a\u017cej Pobo\u017cy, alongside leaders from the scientific and business communities.
