Payments are based on the social pension, currently 1,978.49 PLN gross. Those scoring 95-100 points receive the maximum rate of 4,353 PLN, while those at the 70-74 point threshold receive 792 PLN per month. The benefit is tax-free and not subject to any income criteria.<\/p>\n
ZUS acts only as the payment processor and does not assess health status. Applicants must first obtain a point decision from the Provincial Disability Assessment Team (WZON). A direct application to ZUS without this decision will result in an immediate rejection.<\/p>\n

If a caregiver currently receives nursing or special care allowances from ZUS, these payments will be suspended once the support benefit is granted. Missing this window by even one day results in the permanent loss of retroactive compensation.
