A new United Surveys poll reveals that while the Law and Justice (PiS) party is gaining ground, they cannot secure a parliamentary majority without forming a coalition with Grzegorz Braun\u2019s party.<\/p>\n
United Surveys conducted a poll from June 12-14 involving 1,000 Poles. The Civic Coalition led with 29.7 percent, followed by PiS at 24.1 percent and the Mentzen-Bosak Confederation at 12.2 percent. Other parties crossing the five-percent threshold included Grzegorz Braun\u2019s Confederation of the Polish Crown at 9.6 percent, the Left at 7.1 percent, and the PSL at 5.0 percent.<\/p>\n
Calculations using Prof. Jaros\u0142aw Flis\u2019s mandate calculator indicate the Civic Coalition would secure 177 seats, PiS 140, and the two Confederation factions 60 and 43 respectively. A coalition between PiS and both Confederation wings would yield 243 seats, surpassing the 231 required to form a government, whereas the current governing coalition would fall short with 217.<\/p>\n
Parties falling below the threshold include the Razem Party at 3.1 percent and Poland 2050 at 1.4 percent. With 7.7 percent of respondents currently undecided, this group remains the critical wildcard for upcoming electoral outcomes.<\/p>\n
A separate CBOS survey of 1,000 adults conducted June 8-10 showed slightly different results, placing the Civic Coalition at 28.5 percent and PiS at 22.1 percent. The Confederation and the Confederation of the Polish Crown followed with 12.8 percent and 9.4 percent, respectively.<\/p>\n
The CBOS analysis noted that June marks the second consecutive month of declining or stagnant support for the ruling coalition, while most opposition groups have seen their polling numbers improve.<\/p>\n
