A Lublin court has ordered a three-month detention for 36-year-old Georgian national Elnur A., who is formally charged with the targeted shooting death of Russian satirist Robert Kuzowkow in Poland.<\/p>\n
On June 19, prosecutors from the National Prosecutor\u2019s Office charged Elnur A. with the murder of a Russian Federation citizen committed on June 15 in Bia\u0142a Podlaska. The prosecutor requested a three-month remand, citing flight risk, potential tampering with evidence, and the severity of the crime, which carries a possible life sentence.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, June 20, the National Prosecutor\u2019s Office confirmed via social media that the District Court in Lublin-Zach\u00f3d granted the motion, officially placing the suspect in temporary detention for three months.<\/p>\n
The murder took place on the morning of June 15 in a residential district of Bia\u0142a Podlaska. The perpetrator approached the victim and fired two shots; after the victim fell, the assailant stepped closer and fired three more times. Forensic examination revealed seven gunshot wounds, including five entry wounds to the head, chest, and back.<\/p>\n
Police apprehended Elnur A. on June 18 at a hostel in Piast\u00f3w, near Warsaw. Investigators are currently working to determine if the suspect acted alone or if there were accomplices involved in organizing the attack or facilitating his subsequent escape.<\/p>\n
The victim, Robert Kuzowkow, was a Russian citizen and artist who operated under the pseudonym Siemion Skriepiecki.
