A new UCE Research poll commissioned by Onet reveals that Polish citizens prioritize the public disclosure of all physician contracts funded by state resources to ensure accountability within the healthcare system. <\/p>\n
Respondents were asked to choose a single solution for improving the public healthcare sector. The proposal to increase the transparency of physician compensation and employment contracts received the highest level of public support.<\/p>\n
Exactly 21.9 percent of those surveyed advocated for the mandatory disclosure of all contracts funded by public financial resources.<\/p>\n
The second most popular proposal, favored by 17.3 percent of respondents, was a ban on private practice for physicians employed in public hospitals. Furthermore, 14.8 percent of participants supported higher wages for doctors in exchange for working exclusively within the public system.<\/p>\n
Electronic monitoring of working hours garnered 14.4 percent support, while 14.3 percent of respondents backed the implementation of caps on salaries paid from public funds. Roughly 17 percent of those surveyed had no opinion or selected none of the presented options.<\/p>\n
The survey, conducted by UCE Research for Onet between June 21-22, 2026, involved a representative group of 1,023 adult Poles using the CAWI method. The discussion intensified following reports by Zero.pl regarding Dawid Kacprzyk, the former coordinator of the Emergency Department at Warsaw\u2019s Southern Hospital.<\/p>\n
Investigations indicated that the doctor allegedly earned 1.6 million PLN in 2025. Schedules reportedly showed him appearing outside the hospital, including at television studios and local council meetings, during his assigned shifts.<\/p>\n
