A 15-year-old Ukrainian boy drowned on Wednesday afternoon while swimming in an unsupervised clay pit in Zielonka, located in the Wo\u0142omin district, despite immediate rescue efforts by specialized diving teams. <\/p>\n
Around 3:10 PM, a tragic incident occurred at a clay pit in Zielonka. Three teenagers were swimming in the unsupervised reservoir, jumping from a pier before heading toward the center of the water. One boy began to struggle, and although a friend attempted to assist him, the teenager slipped beneath the surface.<\/p>\n
Emergency services, including firefighters and the Specialized Water and Diving Rescue Group from Warsaw, were deployed immediately. After nearly an hour of searching, a diver located the boy’s body and brought it to the shore. Rescuers confirmed his death at the scene.<\/p>\n
The two surviving teenagers were sober, and police are currently investigating the circumstances of the drowning under the supervision of a prosecutor. This incident follows a similar tragedy on Sunday in the Vistula River, where another 15-year-old Ukrainian citizen drowned.<\/p>\n

Since April 1, 60 people have drowned in Poland.
