Agnieszka Wojciechowska van Heukelom, a Law and Justice (PiS) MP, confirmed that long-time Jaros\u0142aw Kaczy\u0144ski associate Janina Goss has been removed from the party due to over a year of unpaid membership fees.<\/p>\n
Agnieszka Wojciechowska van Heukelom stated that the departure of Janina Goss is a mere formality. Under Article 6 of the PiS Statute, party membership ceases automatically if dues remain unpaid for six months, and Goss had been in arrears for over a year.<\/p>\n
The MP added that she was forced to officially notify Goss of the situation via a formal letter sent in recent days. As the head of the PiS structures in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a, she noted that the membership fees are nominal, characterizing the non-payment as a deliberate act.<\/p>\n
Janina Goss is a law graduate of the University of Lodz and a qualified legal advisor. She previously served on the Local Government Board of Appeals in Lodz and worked as a legal advisor for the Regional Inspectorate for Environmental Protection in Lodz between 1991 and 2003.<\/p>\n
Once considered a close friend of PiS leader Jaros\u0142aw Kaczy\u0144ski, that relationship has clearly cooled. In recent years, Goss lost her position as treasurer of the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a branch of PiS and left the board of the Srebrna company, an entity linked to the party’s inner circle.<\/p>\n
Media reports suggest the rift between Kaczy\u0144ski and Goss stemmed from her failure to establish a museum dedicated to the late President Lech Kaczy\u0144ski and the subsequent decline of PiS influence in the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a region, which ultimately led to the loss of power in the province.<\/p>\n
During the period of PiS rule, Janina Goss held several high-profile positions in state-controlled entities. She served on the supervisory board of Orlen for less than a year in 2023, receiving 157,000 PLN for her tenure.<\/p>\n
Her work on the supervisory board of the Bank for Environmental Protection between 2016 and 2022 generated 782,000 PLN in total earnings. Furthermore, she earned over 620,000 PLN for her service on the supervisory board of the Polish Energy Group (PGE) from 2016 until early 2024.<\/p>\n
