The amendment to the Act on the Method of Determining the Minimum Basic Salary for certain employees in medical entities imposes an absolute obligation on employers to raise wages. Calculations for the second half of 2026 are based on the average salary in the national economy for 2025, which was 8,903.56 PLN. These changes affect nearly 700,000 positions, ranging from medical specialists to primary operations staff.<\/p>\n
According to the act, the minimum wage depends on the specific professional group and a work coefficient. Specialists will see the highest nominal increase, with their base salary rising by 1,046.67 PLN gross. Despite the changes taking effect in days, hospitals and clinics operate under regulatory uncertainty.
