Parents may submit applications for the 300 PLN “Good Start” school supply benefit from July 1 through November 30. The payment is available once per year for each child enrolled in school up to age 20, or age 24 for students with disabilities, with ages calculated by birth year.<\/p>\n
The benefit does not apply to children in kindergarten or to university students. If an application is submitted to ZUS by the end of August, the payout is processed by September 30.<\/p>\n
Regardless of income or employment status, parents and legal guardians receive a one-time 300 PLN payment. These funds are intended for the purchase of textbooks, notebooks, school equipment, and necessary supplies for students in primary, secondary, and post-secondary schools.<\/p>\n
Applications must be submitted electronically through the mZUS application, eZUS platform, online banking, or the Emp@tia portal. Applicants must ensure the child’s PESEL number, school name, and bank account details are correct, as ZUS issues payments exclusively via bank transfer.<\/p>\n
In the previous cycle, ZUS received over 3.3 million applications covering nearly 4.9 million children. The total value of benefits paid out exceeded 1.4 billion PLN.<\/p>\n
Foreigners from outside the EU\/EFTA\/UK, as well as Ukrainian citizens with “UKR” status, are eligible if they were professionally active in Poland in the month preceding the application. Specific exemptions to the activity requirement apply to certain groups.<\/p>\n
