On Friday, July 3, after 3:00 PM, firefighters were dispatched to an apartment on the second floor of a building in Skawina, Lesser Poland. Rescuers were forced to use hydraulic tools to breach the locked door.<\/p>\n
Inside, authorities found the bodies of four individuals: two women, a man, and a newborn baby. The alarm had been raised by the children’s grandfather, who was unable to contact the family or enter the premises.<\/p>\n
Krakow police spokeswoman Sub-inspector Katarzyna Cis\u0142o confirmed that all victims, including the infant who was just eight days old, suffered injuries inflicted by a sharp object. There is no doubt that this is a criminal case.<\/p>\n
The victims include a married couple, their eight-day-old child, and the grandmother who was assisting with childcare. Police have indicated that an extended suicide is currently the most probable hypothesis being investigated.<\/p>\n
Although the prosecutor’s office has yet to issue an official statement, investigators reportedly suspect the 35-year-old father carried out the killings before taking his own life.
