The Ministry intends for these changes to optimize facility utilization and ensure that care is directed more efficiently toward individuals with the most severe functional limitations. The new rules do not reduce the catalog of guaranteed services or revoke the right to rehabilitation.<\/p>\n
However, patients with the same initial diagnosis may now be assigned to different forms of therapy\u2014ambulatory, home-based, or inpatient\u2014based on the results of their individual functional assessments.
