Hennig-Kloska Congratulates Pełczyńska-Nałęcz
“Katarzyna, I sincerely congratulate you! Most importantly, the election process in our party has come to an end. Ahead of us is hard work to regain the trust of voters,” – Paulina Hennig-Kloska wrote on X. “Thank you to all Members of Poland 2050 who participated in yesterday’s elections, and in particular to the 309 people who cast their vote for me. This trust will be a guide for me in the coming months,” – she added.
New Chair of Poland 2050
On Saturday, Poland 2050 held elections for a new chairwoman. This time, the voting system did not fail. Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz became the head of the party for the next term. In the second round of voting, she received 350 votes. Paulina Hennig-Kloska received support from 309 party members.
The newly elected chair of Poland 2050 thanked everyone who participated in the voting. “Thank you for the trust. I will lead us forward with vision and courage,” – she wrote on social media. She also assured that she would cooperate with Szymon Hołownia and Paulina Hennig-Kloska.
Failure of First Voting
The second round of internal elections in Poland 2050 was repeated because the previous one was invalidated due to problems with the voting system. The system blocked at some point due to too many vote attempts. The matter, due to suspicions of a hacker attack, was reported to the ABW and prosecutor’s office.
However, some politicians from Poland 2050 admitted that the problem could have had a prosaic cause – some activists on election day posted on social media with a visible link to the page where voting was possible and this – in their opinion – could have contributed to the system blocking.
