Włodzimierz Czarzasty confirms that a request to create a new parliamentary club has been submitted following a split in the Poland 2050 party.
New Parliamentary Club Confirmed
“A request has been submitted. This is now a fact,” announced Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a Wednesday (February 18) press conference. “We have two new clubs: Centrum and Poland 2050. A bit of distance, some time. We’ll wait a week, emotions will subside,” he added. He stated that parliamentarians must simply “sit down and start liking each other again.”
Czarzasty on Coalition Impact
At the same time, he confirmed that the split in Poland 2050 should not negatively affect the entire ruling coalition. “I don’t think it will have a significant negative impact on the coalition. I think we’ll have a bit more work to do,” he assessed. “I love all my coalition partners,” he concluded.
Centrum Club Launches Online
The official profile of the parliamentary club Centrum appeared on social media. “We are creating a new Parliamentary Club Centrum today so that we can remain faithful to our ideals and fulfill the promises made to voters in 2023. ‘Enough bickering, forward’ – it’s time to implement this slogan in practice,” reads the first post. The slogan “Enough bickering, forward” accompanied The Third Way – the coalition of Poland 2050 and Polish People’s Party – in the 2023 parliamentary elections.
Club Identity Revealed
The club’s logo was also revealed. It is a green-blue “C” on a gray background. The club’s slogan became: “Centrum is where people meet.” The first media appearances of club members were also announced. Sławomir Ćwik, Norbert Pietrykowski, and Żaneta Cwalina-Śliwowska will appear on television today.
