President’s chief Zbigniew Bogucki told Radio 3 Program that Russia does not adhere to its obligations, urging the creation of deterrent safeguards for Ukraine that can truly protect peace.
Bogucki: Peace Negotiations Unlikely
Bogucki warned that attempts to end the war peacefully must proceed with caution, noting that Ukraine, European, Polish, and U.S. actors must agree, and that no agreement can favor the aggressor.
He concluded that past efforts have failed and expects this approach to fail as well.
President Nawrocki Vetoes Electoral Code Amendments
On Thursday, President Nawrocki vetoed a proposal to revise the Electoral Code, citing the risk of unchecked overseas ballot shipments depending on foreign postal services’ quality and the lack of secrecy in out‑of‑poll‑place voting.
President Nawrocki Vetoes Tax Law Amendment on Family Foundations
Nawrocki also vetoed an amendment to the corporate tax law that would have affected family foundations, arguing that it would contravene the agreement he had reached with Polish foundations two years earlier and undermine promised stability for three years.
