Polish authorities deported 15 Georgian nationals on Friday, citing a range of offenses including sexual assault, robbery, and drunk driving.
Border Guard and Frontex Operation
The Polish Border Guard, in collaboration with Frontex, carried out the deportation of 15 Georgian citizens. Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński stated there is “no tolerance for breaking the law in Poland” and those who do will face consequences.
The individuals were transported by plane from Łódź. According to the Border Guard, the deportees were accused of various offenses, including violations of sexual intimacy, armed robbery, participation in fights and assaults, and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Minister Kierwiński’s Statement
Minister Kierwiński announced the deportation on X (formerly Twitter), reiterating the government’s stance against lawbreaking and emphasizing that offenders will be held accountable.
Administrative Decisions and Escort
The Border Guard confirmed that the individuals received administrative decisions requiring their return, subject to compulsory execution. The repatriation operation was organized by the German side, with an escort provided by Georgian law enforcement officials.
Complex Repatriation Process
Authorities emphasized that organizing repatriation operations is a complex, multi-stage process requiring close cooperation between numerous services and institutions. It is also considered one of the most effective tools for combating illegal migration and protecting national security and public order.
