Poland: Fire Claims Lives of Two Young Children

A fire in Wysoka, Poland, early this morning resulted in the deaths of a one-and-a-half-year-old and a three-year-old, despite resuscitation efforts.

Fire Breaks Out in Residential Building

A fire erupted in a residential building in Wysoka, Pilski County, Poland, before 8:00 AM.

Evacuations Before and During Firefighting

Nine people self-evacuated the building prior to the arrival of firefighters. Firefighters then evacuated three additional individuals: two children from the apartment where the fire originated and an elderly woman from an upper floor.

Resuscitation Efforts Fail

Despite an hour of resuscitation attempts, the two children, aged one and a half and three years old, died.

Emergency Response

Nine fire crews, along with ambulance services and a helicopter ambulance, were dispatched to the scene.

Cause Under Investigation

The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is being investigated by the police.
