Polish MEPs won a narrow vote against a Mercosur trade agreement by just 10 votes, despite political bickering.

Polish MEPs voted on two proposals to check the compliance of the agreement with Mercosur countries with European treaties. This should have stopped its entry into force.
Political Differences
One of the proposals, from the right, did not pass, while another submitted by the center-left, which differed in details, passed. The author expressed frustration that childish behavior and mutual sniping on social media platforms are always prioritized over substantive matters.
Narrow Victory
Most importantly, the author noted, “we won, though by a hair – 10 votes. The result is what counts.”
