Poland activated its air defense systems in response to heightened Russian long-range aviation activity targeting Ukraine.
Prewariness Measures
Poland’s Joint Operational Command announced that Polish and allied aircraft were scrambled due to Russian long-range aviation strikes on Ukrainian territory. On-duty fighter jet pairs were deployed, and ground-based air defense and radar systems were placed on high alert.
These actions are precautionary, aimed at securing airspace and protecting citizens, particularly in areas near threatened regions. Command authorities are monitoring the situation, with forces ready for immediate response.
