Poland Transitions to Electronic Applications for Foreign Workers

Poland introduces new electronic application forms for foreign workers seeking permanent residence permits.

New Electronic Application System

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration has published a draft regulation specifying the new application form for granting a foreigner a permanent residence permit. The document will be submitted exclusively in electronic form through the MOS (Case Handling Module).

Streamlined Initial Process

The MOS system will replace the previous paper-based application process for permanent residence permits. In the first stage, foreign applicants will not need to appear in person at the voivodeship office, as this formality will be handled entirely online.

Personal Appearance Requirements

A foreigner may only be summoned in person by the voivode at a later stage to present the original travel document or other identity document, provide fingerprints, and sign for the residence card. This summons may coincide with a request to complete formal deficiencies and pay the residence permit fee.
