Poland: Varied Weather – Warm Days, Frosty Nights Ahead

Poland will experience significant regional weather differences Monday, with temperatures reaching 17°C in the southwest and potential frost overnight.

Monday’s Weather Forecast

Monday will bring distinct weather variations across Poland, with conditions changing throughout the day. Daytime weather will be calmer, but will deteriorate later.

Southwestern Poland will enjoy the highest temperatures in the country, reaching 17°C. Central Poland will see 14°C, while the east and north will range from 12 to 13°C. Coastal areas will be around 7°C, and the Carpathian foothills around 11°C.

Brief, light rainfall is possible in the northwest. Winds will occasionally gust up to 60 km/h, and up to 90 km/h in the Sudetes mountains. In the Bieszczady Mountains, gusts will reach 55 km/h.

Cooling Temperatures Overnight

Nighttime will bring cooling temperatures, ranging from 0°C in the east and foothills to around 9°C in the west.

Valley areas of the Carpathians may drop to -2°C, as will ground temperatures in the east. Light rain in the northwest, combined with cooling temperatures, may cause slippery conditions, especially on bridges and local roads.

Tuesday’s Outlook: Wind and Rain

Tuesday’s maximum temperature will generally be between 12 and 16°C. It will be cooler on the Western Pomeranian coast, around 11°C, and on the Hel Peninsula, 8°C. Southern areas may reach 17°C.

More sunny spells are expected in the east. The western half of the country will experience rainfall, with rain and snow in the Tatra Mountains.

Windy Conditions Expected

Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally gusty. Gusts on the Pomeranian coast will reach 60 km/h, and in the Sudetes, 55 km/h. The prevailing direction will be east and southeast, with light, variable winds with a southern component on Lower Silesia.
