Millions of Polish citizens will soon receive additional funds. The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) has confirmed the payment dates for the 13th pension in 2026. Importantly, no application is required – the system will automatically calculate and transfer the funds.
What is the Amount of the 13th Pension in 2026?
The amount of the “13th pension” is directly linked to the March indexation of benefits. This year, the additional payment is exactly equal to the minimum pension.
Crucially, no deductions or enforcement actions can be made from this amount. These funds also do not count towards income (e.g., when determining eligibility for social assistance benefits).
How Much is the 13th Pension in 2026?
After the March indexation (approximately 5.3%), the lowest pension increased to 1978.49 zł gross. This is precisely the amount of this year’s “13th pension.” However, the amount you see in your account may differ significantly.

EPD-21 Application: Your Pass to a Higher Payout
If your annual income does not exceed 30,000 zł, you are entitled to a tax-free amount. To prevent ZUS from deducting advance income tax (PIT) from your 13th pension, you must submit the EPD-21 declaration.
Important: If you do not submit the application, the money will not be lost – you will recover it only with your annual PIT settlement next year. By submitting the document now, you have these funds in your wallet immediately!

ZUS will pay the “13th pensions” together with the regular pension or benefit. Due to the calendar, some seniors will receive transfers earlier.
Remember: Money usually reaches banks one business day before the official payment date and the post office three days earlier.
