State Budget Deficit Reaches 69.5 Billion Zloty

Poland’s state budget recorded a deficit of approximately 69.5 billion złoty after March, according to data presented to the Sejm.

State revenues totaled 125.2 billion złoty, while expenditures reached around 194.5 billion złoty, resulting in the reported deficit.

Preliminary Data Subject to Change

Officials from the finance ministry cautioned that the March data is preliminary and may be subject to slight revisions.

Final figures are scheduled to be published on Wednesday.

Deficit as Percentage of Annual Plan

The 69.5 billion złoty deficit represents 25.6 percent of the deficit planned in this year’s budget law.

Revenues reached slightly over 19 percent of the annual plan, while expenditures accounted for over 21 percent.
