Poland’s Foreign Ministry has sent a response to President Karol Nawrocki regarding his invitation to join Trump’s Peace Council.
Polish Response to Invitation
Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has transmitted a response to the President’s Chancellery regarding the invitation for President Karol Nawrocki to join Donald Trump’s Peace Council. The response was sent on Tuesday, January 20, according to ministry spokesman Maciej Wewiór.
Wewiór reminded that under the Law on International Agreements (Article 6, point 3), signing an international agreement requires the approval of the Council of Ministers in the form of a resolution. “We remain at the disposal of the President,” emphasized Wewiór.
Trump’s Peace Council
The Peace Council, proposed by US President Donald Trump, will be responsible for resolving international conflicts. The establishment of this body is part of a peace plan for the Gaza Strip.
Donald Trump is expected to become the first chairman of this group and will select which countries will be invited to membership. Invitations to the Peace Council have been extended to approximately 60 countries and organizations.
International Invitations
Among the invited are leaders of Germany, Italy, Canada, Russia, Belarus, and Turkey, as well as representatives from the Middle East region and the President of the European Commission.
Poland would be represented by Karol Nawrocki in the Peace Council. France has already declined the invitation.
