The benefit amount is linked to the minimum pension, which will be 1,978.49 złoty gross as of March 1, 2026. Those with no pension will receive the full amount, while those with lower pensions will receive a top-up to the minimum. It’s a minimum social security mechanism, not an additional pension.

The maximum benefit is 1,978.49 złoty gross, but many will receive less. For example, someone with a 1,200 złoty pension would receive a supplement of approximately 778 złoty. Those with pensions exceeding the minimum receive nothing.

Reasons for Denial of the “Mama 4+” Benefit

The list of exclusions is extensive. Individuals who have been convicted of certain crimes, have significant income, or have not fulfilled the childcare requirements may be denied the benefit.

Even applicants who appear to meet the main criteria can be denied. The ZUS assesses the applicant’s financial situation, considering documents and declarations.

Potential Loss of the “Mama 4+” Benefit

The benefit can be revoked if the recipient’s financial situation changes. Specifically, if income increases beyond a certain threshold, the ZUS may terminate the benefit.

The benefit is not granted automatically. Applicants must submit an application to the ZUS or KRUS, along with supporting documents such as birth certificates and income statements. The ZUS may request additional documentation, such as tax records.
