Poland’s Only Mobile Radiation Monitoring Vehicle Debuts

The state-run Atomic Energy Agency introduces a mobile laboratory to measure radiation levels in Poland, enhancing both its capabilities and flexibility in monitoring nuclear and radiological risks.

Mobile Laboratory for Radiation Monitoring

The new vehicle, developed in partnership with the agency, allows technicians to measure radiation levels in water, soil, and air wherever they are needed, eliminating the need to transport samples back to a stationary laboratory.

Ensuring Radiation Safety

The mobile lab, equipped with a Geiger-Muller counter and other measurement devices, will provide real-time radiation data accessible online, helping combat misinformation, particularly concerning radioactivity, especially regarding the war in Ukraine.

Preparing for Future Nuclear Infrastructure

With the planned construction of Poland’s first nuclear power plant, the agency will use the mobile laboratory to verify the safe operations of the facility during its construction, launch, and operation by 2035.
