Poles and German Suspected of Stealing Hundreds of Washing Machines, Porsche and Piano

Four Poles and one German are accused of breaking into a Hamburg logistics warehouse and stealing hundreds of washing machines, electronics, a Porsche and a Steinway piano.

Warehouse break‑ins

Between the end of August and early September, a gang allegedly targeted a transport warehouse in Hamburg’s Waltershof district to steal several hundred washing machines, various electronic items and a luxury Porsche.

The investigation links the crime to an organised crime group, naming five men aged 27 to 45—four Polish nationals and one 38‑year‑old German. Stolen goods were said to have been stored in Hamburg‑Billbrook and Reinbek.

Pallets of equipment and piano

On 28 October, Hamburg police raided warehouses and several homes across three German states—Hamburg, Schleswig‑Holstein and Lower Saxony—uncovering the stolen Porsche, pallets of electronic equipment and a Steinway piano that had been taken in January in Hamburg.

Other seized items included two additional Porsche cars, a motorcycle and expensive watches. Officers required seven trucks to move the confiscated goods.

Arrests and releases

Three Polish suspects, aged 27 to 45, were arrested at their residences; a fourth 35‑year‑old Polish suspect is already in custody on a separate case. The 38‑year‑old German suspect was released after the searches.
