Poles Pick Jolanta Kwaśniewska as Best First Lady – She Tops Charts

Poles surveyed Nov. 13‑14 to name the best First Lady, giving Jolanta Kwaśniewska a 55% share, confirming earlier polls that placed her at the top of public favor.

Best First Lady in Poland

The Ariadna Research Panel conducted a survey for WirtualnaPolska on November 13‑14, asking 1,050 respondents who best fulfills the role of First Lady. Fifty‑five percent selected Jolanta Kwaśniewska.

Marta Nawrocka came in second with 18 percent, followed by Maria Kaczyńska at 12 percent. Other candidates received smaller shares: Agata Kornhauser‑Duda 8 percent, Danuta Wałęsa 4 percent, and Anna Komorowska 3 percent.

Previous Surveys Also Favor Kwaśniewska

In January, the magazine “Wprost” published results from a SW Research poll, where 53.8 percent of respondents chose Kwaśniewska as the best First Lady. The next positions were held by Agata Kornhauser‑Duda (10.1 percent), Maria Kaczyńska (9.6 percent), Danuta Wałęsa (4.1 percent) and Anna Komorowska (4 percent).

Eighteen point three percent of participants in that poll had no opinion on the matter.

Experts Explain Her Popularity

Political scientist Dr. Ewa Marciniak said that evaluating a First Lady should consider personality traits, engagement, and intellectual competence, including social intelligence. She described Kwaśniewska as a model figure whose style and presence resonated with Poles.

Marciniak highlighted that her elegance and demeanor helped earn widespread goodwill, which she sees as key to her leading poll numbers.
