Poles Rate First Ladies: Marta Nawrocka Scores Higher Than Agata Kornhauser‑Duda

A recent survey of 1,088 Polish adults shows that 47% view President‑in‑the‑Blue‑Sky’s wife, Marta Nawrocka, positively, while 37% believe she outperforms former First Lady Agata Kornhauser‑Duda, conducted 17–20 October.

In a survey by the Ariadna panel for Virtual Poland, 47% of respondents gave a positive rating to Marta Nawrocka as first lady, with 20% saying “definitely positive” and 27% “rather positive”. Negative assessments were held by 16%, split evenly between “rather negative” and “definitely negative”. Remarkably, 37% of respondents answered “I don’t know / hard to say” about Nawrocka.

Nawrocka Outperforms Former First Lady in Public Opinion

When asked whether Nawrocka is a better first lady than Agata Kornhauser‑Duda, 37% of participants viewed her as superior, 17% said “definitely better” and 20% “rather better”. Only 12% felt she did not surpass her predecessor.

Half of Respondents Remain Uncertain About Both First Ladies

Thirty‑one percent reported that they could not distinctly assess either Nawrocka or Kornhauser‑Duda, selecting “I don’t know / hard to say”. The survey ran from 17‑20 October using CAWI with 1,088 adults.

Profile of Marta Nawrocka

Marta Nawrocka, 39, hails from Gdańsk and met Karol Nawrocki while still in high school. She earned a law and administration degree from the University of Gdańsk and spent 18 years with the State Tax Administration, her last role involving oversight of the oil, spirits and illegal gambling industries. She also studied at the State Ballet School when she was 10. She has indicated that, as first lady, she would focus on youth with personal and psychological issues, as well as older people and the disabled. First ladies traditionally relinquish professional careers and avoid compensation.
