On Sunday, November 2, officers from Pruszków County chased a Skoda driver who fled a roadside stop; the pursuit resulted in a police ambulance losing traction and striking a tree in Pęcice, injuring a law‑enforcement officer.
Chase Begins Over Skoda Driver
At about 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, 2 November, police from Pruszków County began a pursuit after a Skoda driver refused to halt for a traffic check in the village of Pęcice.
Ambulance Collides With Tree
During the chase, the marked police ambulance lost grip on a bend in the road where concrete pavements met a field lane, crashed into a tree, and sustained significant damage.
Officer Injured
One policeman was taken to hospital with injuries sustained in the collision; no other casualties were reported.
Suspected Driver Arrested
Police located the fleeing 34‑year‑old Polish citizen, arrested him on the scene, and secured the Skoda he was attempting to drive. The man had previously been convicted of various offences and does not hold a current driving licence.

Investigators are reviewing the chase’s course and the circumstances surrounding the ambulance’s loss of control; the case remains open.
