Police arrested two suspects in Warsaw for stealing a 1981 Virgin Mary figurine worth 1,500 PLN from a chapel lawn.
Theft Reported
On January 24, a resident reported the theft of a 1981 Virgin Mary figurine from a chapel lawn on Syrokomli Street to the Warsaw Targówek Police Station, valuing it at 1,500 złotych.
Suspects Arrested
Investigators from the Detective and Criminal Departments identified two Targówek residents linked to the theft, which occurred overnight January 23-24. The suspects, both 37, were arrested and charged with theft, punishable by up to five years in prison. One claimed they abandoned the figurine in snow near Marywilskiej and Proletariatczyków Streets, but it remains unfound.

Police continue searching for the stolen figurine. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Targówek station at 47 723 81 71 or 47 72 386 69. The case is registered under KPD-II-427/26.
