Police Car at Fault in Collision After Running Red Light

A police car responding to an emergency collided with another vehicle in Pruszków on Sunday after running a red light, causing temporary traffic disruption.

Collision Details

At approximately 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 1, a police KIA vehicle responding to an emergency with activated lights and sirens collided with a Dodge passenger car at the intersection of Alei Tysiąclecia and ul. Grunwaldzka in Pruszków.

Aftermath and Injuries

Following the collision, the Dodge veered off and struck a tree and a road sign. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. Medical teams examined all parties at the scene, with no injuries requiring hospitalization.

Emergency Response

Firefighters secured the accident site, disconnected vehicle batteries, and contained leaking fluids from the damaged vehicles. Traffic in the area was temporarily disrupted due to the incident.

Police Accountability

According to preliminary findings, the police officer driving the marked vehicle was determined to be at fault for entering the intersection against a red traffic signal.
