The Pursuit Escalates

At approximately 08:00 on 2 November in Korytów, police noticed a Honda speeding at nearly 90 km/h on an urban road. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver accelerated, initiating a chase along the national road 50 toward Słabomierz.

Crash Into River

Unable to maintain control, the driver swerved onto a service road and then onto a side street, eventually plunging the vehicle into a nearby river. The Honda was abandoned in the water.

Driver’s Violation Details

Alco‑test results revealed over 1 ‰ alcohol in the driver’s bloodstream, and police records showed he lacked a valid driving licence. A 17‑year‑old passenger was later transported to a Warsaw hospital. The driver was taken to police custody.

Legal Consequences

The 21‑year‑old was fined 10,800 PLN for failing to obey police signals, speeding, and disregarding a B‑1 no‑entry sign. He faces court proceedings for driving under the influence and evading roadside checks, with a potential sentence of up to five years in prison.
