Police Chase in Białołęka Ends as Driver’s Car Collides Into Tree

On Monday, Dec. 22, a police pursuit in Warsaw’s Białołęka district ended when a fleeing Honda crashed into a tree after striking a private fence.

Initial Pursuit

Around 20:15 on Dec. 22, Warsaw police began a pursuit of a Honda that had failed to stop for a traffic control on Białołęka. The vehicle was spotted by patrol officers on Skarbka z Gór Street with its front end damaged.

Collision at Cieślewskich Street

The chase led the driver through Białołęka streets, culminating in multiple vehicle collisions. The Honda ultimately struck a private fence and then crashed into a tree on Cieślewskich Street.

Both the driver and a passenger fled the scene on foot after the impact.

Police Response and Arrest

Rapid deployment of numerous police patrols and a canine unit allowed officers to apprehend a suspect at about 21:10 who was driving a vehicle registered to the driver involved in the crash.

Breathalyzer tests revealed 2 + per mille alcohol, and no one suffered injuries.
