A 51-year-old driver was chased and arrested by police in Wadowice on Wednesday morning after fleeing a routine check and resisting officers.

The incident occurred on Wednesday at around 9:00 AM. The driver of a Dodge car failed to stop for a police check near the bus station and fled the scene, prompting a police chase.
Arrest and Charges
The driver was eventually stopped on Legionów Street and arrested. Witnesses reported that the man struggled with police officers for several minutes. The 51-year-old Wadowice resident had over 2 promiles of alcohol in his system.
He faces charges of driving under the influence and failing to comply with a police stop, which carry penalties of up to five years in prison, a fine, and a driving ban.
