Warsaw police conducted safety checks on ride-sharing apps, finding three foreigners with deportation orders from the Schengen area.
Safety Operations Continue
Last evening, officers from Warsaw’s Prevention Police Division and Road Traffic Department continued actions focused on the safety of people using ride-sharing apps.
Among the 76 people checked, three were found to be subject to Schengen deportation orders.
Police Prioritize Road Safety
Ensuring road safety is a priority for the Metropolitan Police, who systematically control drivers providing passenger transport services.
The operations were conducted throughout Warsaw to protect travelers using this transport method.
Comprehensive Inspections Conducted
Controls included driver sobriety, required licenses, vehicle technical conditions, transport legality, and compliance with legal regulations.
Police also checked transported luggage and conducted personal searches of all individuals.
Penalties and Discoveries
Police issued 12 fines totaling nearly 5,000 zlotys and seized 6 registration certificates.
Two Uzbek citizens and one Tajik citizen were found in the SIS system as subject to deportation from the Schengen area, but may remain in Poland while their appeals are processed.
