Police announced that during ongoing procedural activities a minor has been identified who may be connected to the death of the 12‑year‑old. Preliminary information suggests the incident could have been murder.
Body Discovered Near School
The victim’s body was discovered on Monday 15 December around 2:50 pm on Wyspiańskiego Street in Jelenia Góra, Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The location was not random.
Reactions from School and Community
The 12‑year‑old was described by school director Paweł Domagała as a pleasant, high‑achieving student who engaged in volunteering, competitions and sports, and was broadly talented. The director called her loss “a great tragedy.” The identified minor attends primary school No. 10, in a higher class; students, teachers and parents will receive psychological support.
Police and Prosecutor Operations
Police and prosecutors were notified. Officers began intensive work at the scene under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office, gathering evidence needed to explain the tragic event. The police also expressed deep sympathy for the victim’s family and close ones.
