A police officer in Częstochów safely stopped her car to rescue two large dogs stranded on a busy expressway, later reuniting them with their owner after sharing the incident online.
Officer Rescues Dogs on Expressway
On Sunday, August 24, the Częstochów Municipal Police (Silesian Voivodeship) reported an unusual incident. During her commute on the S5 expressway near Poznań, a police officer quickly responded to the sight of two large dogs wandering across a heavily trafficked road. She safely stopped her vehicle, lured the German Shepherds into her car, and the puppies immediately greeted her warmly.
Owner Contacts Officer After Social Media Post
The officer transported the dogs to a nearby parking area and contacted the duty officer at the Poznań Municipal Police. Authorities secured the animals until the owner arrived. Meanwhile, the officer shared details of the incident on social media, stating the dogs had been saved from danger and were waiting for their guardian at a designated location. “The owner did not wait long for a response. Shortly after, she contacted the officer through a messaging app to express her gratitude and confirmed she had arrived to retrieve her pets,” the police explained in a statement.
