A 28‑year‑old officer driving a police radio unit failed to reduce his speed to match the road conditions. This caused him to lose control and leave the roadway, plunging into a grassy ditch.
Use of Signals
While en route to an intervention, the patrol had deployed both flashing lights and a siren. The vehicle was therefore operating under emergency illumination when the loss of control occurred.
Outcome
There were no injuries or casualties reported from the crash, and the vehicle was brought under control without further damage.
