In Pruszków, police and firefighters rescued two teenagers trapped on a balcony, preventing hypothermia and ensuring a safe handover to family.
Rapid Response to Balcony Emergency
Police Prevention Division officers intervened after a report of two boys on a balcony in Pruszków. They could not return to the ground‑floor apartment because the balcony door was locked, and a barrier prevented escape.
Thermal Blankets Provided
Officers arrived, cared for the boys, and gave them thermal blankets to prevent hypothermia. The boys had no recollection of their father’s or other family members’ phone numbers.
Identifying Guardian Contacts
In cooperation with the district office, officers identified a contact for the boys’ guardian.
Firefighters Secure Escape Route
Due to time constraints, low temperature, and real health risks, officers called State Fire Service firefighters, who dismantled the barrier, allowing the boys to safely leave the balcony.
Safe Transfer to Family
Thanks to swift, coordinated actions, the teens were handed over to their family for care. This intervention again demonstrates how police protect residents’ lives and health.
