A stolen pizza delivery vehicle triggered a police chase in Pradze-Północ, culminating in a collision with a police car.
Theft of Pizza Delivery Vehicle
Around 0:45 AM on the night of the incident, a car belonging to a pizza delivery service was stolen from Solidarity Avenue in Pradze-Północ. Police quickly received the report and began searching for the vehicle.
Police Chase and Crash
Patrolling officers spotted a Toyota and attempted to stop it for inspection. The driver ignored the signal and fled through the neighborhood. On Stalowa Street, the fleeing man collided with a police car that had tried to block his path.
Driver’s Escape and Arrest
After the crash, the driver abandoned the car and ran on foot. Following a brief pursuit, police subdued and arrested a 22-year-old Polish citizen. Investigations confirmed the man was sober, though blood samples were taken for further analysis.
Officer’s Medical Check
Several police patrols arrived at the scene. One officer was examined by paramedics but did not require hospitalization.
