Police Pursuit of Bus Driver Who Refused to Stop for Road Check

On October 31 at 7 am, Sokołów Podlaski police chased a Fiat Ducato bus that ignored their stop signal, eventually stopping near Przywózki and arresting the 24‑year‑old driver.

Initial Attempt to Stop the Bus

Earlier Friday at 7 am, officers from the Patrol–Intervention Team on Węgrowska Street in Sokołów Podlaski tried to stop a bus for a road check. The driver ignored police commands and began to flee.

The Pursuit and Arrest

Officers launched a pursuit. Despite traffic‑light and sound signals from the vehicle, the driver continued. After several kilometres the bus entered a field in Przywózki, where it stopped and the driver was neutralised and arrested. The driver was a 24‑year‑old resident of the Sokołów county.

Driver’s Lack of License

During verification, information entered into police systems revealed that the driver had no valid license.

Legal Consequences

The driver faces charges and could receive up to five years in prison.
