Polish police, including counter-terrorism units, conducted a raid in Warsaw, Radom, and Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship on April 7th, resulting in 11 arrests.
Police Operation with Black Hawk Helicopter
Police and counter-terrorism units carried out an operation related to economic crime in the area of the Army Krajowa Grouping Roundabout “Radosław” in Warsaw on Tuesday, April 7th. The information was provided by Radom Voivodeship Police spokesperson, Katarzyna Kucharska.
She added that the operation was ordered by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Gliwice.
Minister Confirms Multiple Arrests
Minister of Interior and Administration Marcin Kierwiński confirmed the operation, stating that dozens of police officers, including BOA counter-terrorism units, entered several locations in Radom, Warsaw, and the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.
“Eleven people were detained. The case concerns the production and distribution of prohibited substances in sports and medicinal products,” Kierwiński wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Black Hawk Helicopter Deployed
TVN24 first reported the police operation, obtaining footage showing a Black Hawk police helicopter. Several officers rappelled from the helicopter.
Armed counter-terrorism officers also appeared on the roof of a building on Kłopot Street, and several unmarked vehicles were stationed in front of the building.
Central Counter-Terrorism Unit Involved
According to TVN24, the Central Counter-Terrorism Unit of the Police (BOA) participated in the operation. This is an elite unit established to combat terrorism, apprehend the most dangerous criminals, and carry out high-risk operations.
Police Spokesperson Confirms Location of Operation
Katarzyna Nowak, director of the Public Communication Bureau of the National Police Headquarters, informed PAP earlier in the morning that officers from the Radom Voivodeship Police were on site. The Radom command did not provide further information at that stage.
