In Warsaw, officers from the Economic Crime Unit retrieved a luxury car stolen by a leasing client, returning it to its owner within days.
Leasing Company Sees Fraud Unfold
The theft began after a leasing firm signed a contract with a new client who appeared reliable. Standard document checks and financial audits found no fraud risk. Shortly thereafter the client stopped payments and vanished, taking with him a car valued at 360,000 PLN.
Police Recovery Operation
When the case reached the police, officers quickly analyzed the information and pinpointed the vehicle’s location in the Wilanów district. The car was secured and returned to its rightful owner without delay.
Arrest and Legal Follow‑Up
Evidence collected by the police was handed to the Prosecutor’s Office. The perpetrator faces charges of appropriation, with a potential sentence of up to five years’ imprisonment.
