Polish police in Piaseczno swiftly recovered vehicles valued at approximately 500,000 złoty after a leasing client fraudulently defaulted and disappeared.
Leasing Firm Reports Vehicle Theft
The case began when a leasing company entered into an agreement with a new client, completing standard verification procedures including document checks and financial analysis.
After a period of time, the client ceased making lease payments and became unreachable, along with vehicles totaling nearly 500,000 złoty.
The company, losing hope of recovery, reported the incident to the Piaseczno County Police.
Rapid Police Response and Recovery
Upon receiving the report, officers from the Economic Crime and Corruption Department of the Piaseczno County Police immediately launched an investigation.
Through detailed analysis of collected information and intensive operational work, they located and recovered the stolen vehicles.
The vehicles were thoroughly inspected and returned to their owner, and the collected evidence has been submitted to the Piaseczno District Prosecutor’s Office for further investigation.
Suspect Faces Criminal Charges
The perpetrator of the appropriation will face justice and could receive a prison sentence of up to 5 years for the crime of misappropriation.
