Alert police in Mława County found a newborn in a closet while assisting a 25-year-old woman, leading to the detention of three individuals.

Emergency Response

On the morning of January 29, police received an urgent call for medical aid in Mława County. Officers from the Mława Police Station’s Patrol-Intervention Team arrived first, followed by paramedics. A 25-year-old woman in the house required immediate medical attention, and a doctor determined she had just given birth.

While medics assisted the woman, police heard faint crying sounds. They began searching the premises to locate the source of the noise.

Discovery of Newborn

During their search, police found an unclothed newborn hidden in a closet. Thanks to their vigilance and swift action, the child was discovered in time and immediately handed over to medical personnel for care.

Aftermath and Investigation

Both the mother and newborn were transported to the hospital for detailed examinations under the supervision of a prosecutor present at the scene. Three other individuals found in the house were detained and taken to the Mława police station. All were sober. Preliminary findings indicate the newborn was slightly hypothermic but not in life-threatening danger.

The gathered evidence has been transferred to the Mława District Prosecutor’s Office for further investigation.
